Proposed Rezoning Plans RZ 21-0222

Random Oaks & Watson Glen Homeowners Associations are working together with a team of professionals to oppose the proposed rezoning application (RZ-21-0222) of RRGG LLC / First Rate Properties, LLC by its representative Michael D. Horner, AICP (“developer/applicant”). 
 
Where is the land located? 
The area is located on the northeast corner of Watson Road and Bloomingdale Avenue.  The proposed planned development (“PD”) linked here was recently presented at a Community Meeting held on March 3, 2021 in Watson Glen.  The applicant’s proposed changes will significantly intensify traffic on Watson Road and Bloomingdale Avenue. Other areas of concern
-        Stormwater drainage and possible flooding to our communities with increased infrastructure.
-        Delineated wetland lines need to be emphasized in the plan to understand wetland impacts and size of those impacts, and when the appropriate agencies will be contacted.
-        Future shared access road to cut through onto Bamboo Orchid Court in Watson Glen HOA, which will pose significant safety risk to residents, especially the large number of young children who live and play in Watson Glen.
-        Impact on wildlife, birds and reptiles which are on endangered State and Federal lists.

The County MUST see that we are serious about the concerns that affect our neighborhood.
 
Write a letter of opposition, or we can provide you with one to sign!
If there is ever a time to work together, now is that time!  We need to show the County and Board of County Commissioners that we are serious about the concerns regarding the developer’s application!
